When do the fireworks start?Fireworks start at 10:30 p.m. or later, depending on when the sun sets! If a storm is imminent and the weather becomes a factor, we will try and hold off until the scheduled time, but for safety of everyone in the park and the fireworks team, we sometimes have to quickly make a decision whether to cancel or set them off right away. If a storm is threatening, I would ERR on the side of caution and come to the park earlier just in case Mother Nature forces us to begin the show early. Any firework delays will be communicated on our Facebook, and Instagram pages.

Where is the best place to watch the fireworks?Fireworks can be seen throughout all of Wascana Centre. However, anywhere along the lakeshore or in the Regina Canada Day festival grounds is ideal.

What roads are closed? The following streets will be closed: Legislative Drive, McCallum Avenue, and 21st Avenue. Before the fireworks begin, please note that there will be road closures and increased traffic enforcement around the Wascana Centre area. Starting at 9:00 PM, Albert Street between College Avenue and Regina Avenue will be closed. There are approved parking sections, with a valid Canada Day Pass. Handicapped drop off zone is at Albert Street and Legislative Drive. Please note that there are no handicapped parking stalls available in Wascana Centre. The Regina Police remind drivers to not park illegally or stop on the road to watch the fireworks, especially on the Highway 1 bypass between Assiniboine Avenue and Wascana Parkway, and on Broad Street between College Avenue and Lakeshore Drive.
