REGINA, SK— JUNE 26TH, 2018 – The Regina Canada Day Committee would like to announce that Canada Day Celebrations will be hosting some of the activations on the northside of Wascana Park.

The Regina Canada Day Committee invites all of the residents of Regina and surrounding areas to join us for an exciting, entertaining and fun-filled Canada Day for the entire family. In previous years, Canada Day Celebrations were held on the northside of Wascana Park in the beautiful gardens and green space around the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. We are looking forward to returning to this tradition as we celebrate Canada’s 151st Birthday. The northside of Wascana Park is an beautiful location to spend the day; enjoying entertaining live stage shows, first annual family fun run and walk, a free pancake breakfast, sports demonstrations, retailers, food vendors, fun activities for the young and young at heart and the fireworks display!

The Western Canada’s Strongman Competition, the 21 Gun Salute and the Plywood Cup activations will remain in the same locations as last year in front of the Legislative Buildings and close to the Albert Street Bridge park space.

We have many favourite events and attractions returning from previous years and new ones as well. For a full list of events and schedules please see our website www.reginacanadaday.ca

We continue to encourage attendees to ‘Think Green’ and take advantage of the Bike Regina valet service located close to the venue or Public Transit which will be operating on a Sunday Holiday schedule.

The Regina Canada Day Committee is a non-profit group of dedicated volunteers from the community, who organize, plan and fundraise for the celebration of Canada Day for everyone to enjoy.
